Frequently asked
My captures didn't sync to my other iPhone.
Inku uses iCloud sync, which means both devices must be signed in to the same Apple ID and have iCloud enabled for Inku. Check iOS Settings → [Your name] → iCloud → Apps using iCloud → Inku on both devices. Sync usually completes within a minute of opening the app, but can take longer on cellular.
Why is my Inku missing from the map?
The map only shows captures that have a coordinate. If location permission was off when you took the photo, the Inku still exists in the app — you just won't see it on the map. Grant location access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Inku and try again on a new capture.
I bought Inku Plus. Why are some printers still locked?
Open Settings inside Inku and tap Restore Purchases. This re-fetches your receipt from Apple and unlocks every printer Inku Plus covers. If you still see locks after restoring, write to us — include the email tied to your Apple ID and we'll dig in.
How do I delete a single Inku?
Open the map, tap the Inku you want to remove, then tap the trash icon in the floating action bar at the bottom of the screen. Confirm. The Inku is removed from your map and the photo file is deleted from disk. There is no undo.
How do I delete everything?
Uninstall Inku. All local data is removed on uninstall. If you also had iCloud sync on, the captures will continue to live in your iCloud container until you clear it from iOS Settings → [Your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Inku → Delete All.
The photo developed but the typing window closed too fast.
You have fifteen seconds to write the line under the photo, and there is no backspace. This is on purpose — Inku is about choosing the words in the moment, not perfecting them. If you ran out of time the Inku is still saved with whatever you had typed; we will never auto-fill the rest for you.
Can I export everything?
For each Inku you can use the Share button on the map preview, which gives you the composite as a PNG (mascot stamp in the corner). A full bulk export is on the roadmap — write to us if you need one urgently and we'll send your captures from your iCloud container.
Is there an Android version?
Not today. Inku ships first on iOS because that's the platform we know deepest. Android is something we want to do, but we'd rather get the iOS version right before splitting our attention. Sign up at the email below if you'd like a heads-up when Android starts.
Still stuck?
Email hello@inku.studio. Tell us your iOS version and the steps that led to the problem. Screenshots help. We're a small studio so a real human reads every message.
